Corona was a young Christian woman often said to have been about 16 years old. She encouraged another Christian martyr, Victor of Damascus, to remain faithful while he was being tortured for his beliefs. As a result, she was arrested and executed. She has traditionally been invoked as a patron saint of treasure hunters, those seeking perseverance in suffering, protection during epidemics or plagues, although this association became especially well known during the COVIC-19 pandemic  because of her name. I also consider my Aunt Cora, who died a tragic and untimely death, one of my guardian angels.
